By mutual agreement, rock star Brian Tristan and Lexy Claremont parted after a hot and heavy weekend neither would ever forget. Consenting to annul their marriage was a decision each regretted the moment they made it.
So imagine their shock when they learn they are still married, a revelation made on the heels of an announcement Lexy never wanted to hear, one that has both of them asking, "What about love?" and discovering someone else had a secret agenda of their own by keeping them apart...

2.5 Stars
I'm sad to say I didn't overly enjoy this story.
I have actually been looking forward to reading it for ages because I love a good rock star romance, but it didn't hit the mark for me.
It may have been my mood. It definitely wouldn't be the first time I found myself not enjoying a book because I was in a bad/stressed/tired mood - but it also shows that it wasn't strong enough to pull me out of one of those moods like my favourite books do.
For a short story it seemed to draw out scenes unnecessarily and there were a few WTF moments for me too.
And it was all over in a few hours.....not the reading of the story - although with me skimming it probably took less than hours, but the actual relationship between Brian and Lexy.
All in all it was well written - smooth to read and the one sex scene that I read fully was ok, it just lacked any depth and didn't engagement much at all.
I will be reading the second installment but if it is similar to this one I doubt I will read the third. -
What About Love” is a short story, and the first from the Heartbreakers series.
In this story we meet Brian Tristan, one of four brothers, and the lead singer in their very successful rock band, Mesquite. Brian is currently dating Ceci Powers, and through a misunderstanding on a dinner date one night, he finds himself engaged to her. The morning after brings about news that he is still married to Lexy Claremont, who he met, fell in love with, and married one weekend in Vegas 10 years ago. So now Brian, determined to handle this dilemma himself, hops a plane to Vegas to see Lexie about a divorce, which his manager was supposed to handle 10 years ago. Problem is, Brian is still in love with Lexie after all these years.
This was a very sweet story, and I thought Brian was sweet, considerate, caring, and very sexy. It seemed like he at times put others feelings above his own. Did I mention how sexy Brian is?? I liked Lexy too, smart, independent, and wears her heart on her sleeve. There are some surprises in this story, and I can’t say much more without giving things away.
I liked Willows writing, I could have kept reading about this couple for a while, and I look forward to the other books in this series. -
I will review when I finish book 3...
