I won this book on Goodreads as a First Reads giveaway and wasn't sure what to expect. It was a quick read, with short chapters that were mainly musings and affirmations of moving forward. It seemed at times to be almost like journal entries as the author lived through a particularly difficult period in her life. And while I couldn't relate entirely, I appreciated her efforts to break free from old molds and from unhealthy attitudes.

This was a very insightful and to the point book about a challenge we will all face at some point, in some way. The author does a great job of baring her soul but not losing the reader in the way so many emotional recounts can do. I appreciated the candor, clarity and sense of camaraderie this text invoked.
