***Things to consider before you read***

This is stated as one of the 'treasure' texts attributed to Padmasambhava; and belongs to the Dzoghen tradition, which is the highest 'yana' by classification of the Nyingmpa tradition. So, this text is not a beginner's text or something you read for leisure.

On the authenticity and reliability of translation, I cannot comment much, but on such advanced practices of Tibetan Buddhism, it is almost necessary you need a guided teacher.

Upon reading the translator's commentary on the Dzoghen approach, I'm concerned his explanation would confuse many, perhaps even dangerous to. Propagating teachings unfit to one's vessel is a downfall. If one does not have a good/clear understanding of bodhichitta, Vajrayana, the significance of Samantabhadra/Vajrahara, and related concepts on shamatha and vipassana. Do NOT read this book. Without these understanding of these concepts, this book would just be an incomprehensible esoteric text at best, or lead someone astray from the Dharma at worst.

If one thinks oneself as a Buddhist, one should have taken refuge to the Three Jewels. As such, text of this nature without proper understanding would not lead one away from the Bodhisattva Path.
