The Seed Must Die: A Story Of Christian Love In Action In Occupied Korea Reviews
-
A quick and easy read but immensley challenging.
it carries the story of Pastor Son's family in Korea, first under Japanese rule, then in the turbulent post war years. Persecuted by the Japanese for not participating in Shinto worship, and then John and Matthew, the two eldest boys, killed by Communist rioters, how could they thank God?
Yet Pastor Son not only thanked God for his martyred sons, but sought out those who killed them, and demanded they would not be beaten, but would be freed so he could proclaim the gospel to them. One killer was found, rescused from execution by Rachel, Matthew and John's sister, in a remarkable story of forgiveness and strength.
