  Me encantaron todas las ilustraciones y los comentarios históricos. Muchos de ellos no sabía que existían (en el mundo egipcio y griego).Y el precio aún mejor. Se recrea demasiado en la época renacentista. Pero muy válido todo.

  Un llibre fantàstic pels interessats en les il·lustracions de caràcter pornogràfic. És de tapa dura, en color i paper bo a un preu ridícul. És trilingüe anglès, francès i alemany, tot i que hi ha molt poc text i tot el llibre son reproduccions de qualitat

  I bought this wanting a range of classic erotic images. This book is *not* what I was expecting however. Its well produced, nice paper and excellent reproductions, spanning the centuries from rock art via greek and roman right up to the 20th century. However, this is explicit pornography than pure art Most of the images are to the grotesque and extreme side of things. Many large deformed penises (oh gods the number of penises!), very crude scenes that are not arousing or erotic compared to others I have seen. If you're familiar with 17th century political cartoons with caricatured figures, imagine that with a lot of nudity and erections. In this company, Egon Schiele's images (which I admire) seem refined and tasteful, and the 20th century works with leather and dominace themes are refreshingly attractive.I much preferred 30 Millennia of Erotic Art (30 Millennia of Art Collection) (Book Collection) and sent Erotica Universalis back. This is not the review of a prude, and if this sounds like your thing, enjoy. Its a great book but for a specific taste, methinks, and the look inside feature is a tad misleading..

  Bought this as a present for my boyfriend. We both love art and have a sense of humour. I don't know what people are moaning about. This book is awesome and a proud addition to our coffee table books ✌️

  Es gibt einen sehr guten Überblick über Erotik in der Kunst. Allerdings sollte sich jeder darüber im klaren sein, dass das Cover schon alles sagt und auch der sticker "adults only". Einige kritisierten, dass es zu graphisch ist, aber wie gesagt, das Cover sollte das schon sagen und es ist auch nicht für Kinder geeignet. Der Kritikpunkt ist in der Tat, was auch schon andere bemerkten, dass es keine Beschreibungen gibt und der historische oder gesellschaftliche Kontext wäre interessant gewesen. Ich wußte nur von einem Kunstkurs, dass dieses Genre in der Regel Auftragsarbeit war und nicht für ein großes Publikum hergestellt wurde. Falls die Auftragsgeber bekannt sind, wäre auch hier gut gewesen, wer die Werke in Auftrag gegeben hat, aber ich nehme an, dass die meißten nicht wollten, dass das publik wird. Interessant ist auch, dass sehr berühmte Künstler in dieser eher expliziten Kunstform teilgenommen haben, was nicht groß bekannt ist. Wenn man ein Problem mit solchen Darstellungen hat, sollte man es lieber lassen, aber es ist ein Teil der Menschheit und somit auch ein Teil der Kunst und so sollte man es, meiner Meinung nach auch betrachten
