Healing SIBO: Fix the Real Cause of IBS, Bloating, and Weight Issues in 21 Days Reviews
-
This contains useful information but overall is disappointing as it’s too one sided. As usual many solutions and remedies are listed as being wholly positive without ever mentioning side effects. Nutritionists, naturopaths, SIBO practitioners should be aware and inform people of possible adverse effects of all treatments including those that are herbal.Book mentions prescription prokinetics but doesn’t make any reference to some of these possibly being damaging to the gastrointestinal system.Herbal oils are mentioned but you aren’t advised that they can kill bacteria in the small intestine but will likely also kill beneficial bacteria in the large intestine. Kava kava is mentioned but again this isn’t safe for everyone to take. Nothing is mentioned about how tough herbals can be on the liver.Magnesium is touted as the greatest help for constipation but again no mention that your kidneys have to process it and large intakes could cause electrolyte imbalances. The book may help with mild Sibo but not severe cases. There is very little information on cases with weight loss.Rifaxamin is given a glowing one sided review. It’s not safe for everyone, it’s still an antibiotic and even Pimental who discovered it for SIBO admits most cases tend to relapse.

Good advice to kill the bloat but not to restore the gut microbiome and fix the natural body defence

A great collaboration of all the useful info Shivan has gathered from the world leaders in SIBO. Worth getting a copy

This book is packed with information and practical advice. I only wish I found it sooner, much recommended!

This book is incredibly helpful. There is way too much bunk information out there about SIBO and so many practitioners who say they can help you (and are pretty convincing too) but they are not informed enough and many lead you down the wrong path which wastes money, time, and effort. This book compiles the best recommended treatment options to us including the most recent research info from the doctors and specialists who see the worst and most difficult cases of this condition first hand. It lists of possible supplements, dosage suggestions, popular root causes, etc, and it lays it all out for us in a simple format. It's super easy to read and is a 'must have' for anyone who has or might have SIBO. If you can get it BEFORE you start a treatment plan with a practitioner so it can help inform and guide your decisions!
