Way of the Warrior Kid 3: Where there's a Will... (A Novel) Reviews

This is a great addition to the Warrior Kid series. Jocko is spreading a message that our Fortnite generation needs to hear. Scholastic seems to have boycotted the series, must be toxic masculinity in their eyes. I love this series and can't keep enough copies in my classroom. If you have a son that is lacking in ambition and discipline, buy him the entire series, and read it with him.

I've read all three of the books in this series. This is my least favorite of the three but still think it worth the time. While the writing is a little corny and elementary, the theme of these books is wonderful. I think all children between 8 and 12 should read them. That said, I must add a disclaimer. Science shows time and again that eating high protein animal foods (which are by nature high in cholesterol), leads to the acquisition of degenerative diseases: cardiovascular disease, renal disease, diabetes, certain cancers, and so on. There are plenty of healthy protein sources that do not cause these problems (beans and grains, seitan, tofu, and tempeh). Other than that, I love this book series.

After much awaited anticipation, my son final got this third installment of series after preordering it thru . My 8 year old son and I LOVED the first two books. They were FILLED with great examples that my son could use and apply to his own life.
My son felt that he could deeply relate to the fears and trials that Marc (the main character) speaks of throughout the books. Even though my son doesn’t have an Uncle Jake by his side, he at least has these books to recall those important lessons and rules.
This third installment doesn’t disappoint. My son just mentioned that this book is his favorite of the series. I think that each book has their unique teachings and can be beneficial for different phases of a young boy’s life.
Enjoy this book because my boy did. I am SO happy that I have found these books for my son. It has brought us much closer together. We are learning how to defeat fears and challenges together. This is so important for a child, yet alone a boy. -
This series of books has changed my 9 and 6 year olds’ lives. We talk about their Warrior Kid path and code of conduct, each and every day, as they navigate and learn about life. They do pull ups, push ups, burpees, and other exercises, every day, to try and be healthy and strong. They are so aware now of the importance of honesty and hard work. Honor and integrity. They’ve learned so much about nutrition and eating healthy, too, since that is part of the Warrior way. These books really solidify what I’ve always tried to teach them. Awesome books! Thanks Jocko!

As parents, it’s hard to know how to talk to your kids about the tough parts of life. This series has created some incredible conversations between us and our ten year old son. He is a warrior kid to the core. This specific book brought up some interesting topics that were tough to grapple with, but are absolutely necessary to child development and maturity. Thanks Jocko! You’ve given us some great starting points to keep the conversations flowing. We love the Way of the Warrior Kid books!

My son loves these books by Mr. Willink. He has read all of them, and now my daughter is reading them. Fantastic lessons for children are in these books. They are truly must haves.

Our 8 year old LOVED 'Way of the Warrior Kid 3'. She read this latest Jocko Willink book after devouring the first two in record time. She could not put them down. The book teaches children wonderful valuesthe ones that we preach, but never know if they sink in. Well, this book reinforces these values in a very entertaining and compelling manner. The books are very well written and cleverly explain the complex vocabulary words. I can't recommend these books enough.

Book 3. I bought the series for my grandson. I read them all first to review the books. Excellent values to instill in our youth.

I bought the series for my grandson, who is 11 years of age. I asked him to review it and he said:
'I liked this book, because in the book a boy called Marc learnt a lot about his brain, how to treat others and not to judge anyone. It talks about his ego and how he overcame it. I would recommend this book, because you learn a lot in it and the story is also very good.' -
Enjoyed this 3rd installment of the Warrior Kid series. More lessons to be learnt, with further refinement of the Warrior Kid code. I hope there will be some books to come!

We started reading this to our 5 year old as it talks about motivation, discipline and other good subjects. We have all 3 books and my son is a big Jocko fan!
