  These stories helped me improve my vocabulary and listening skills (using the audio). They are really motivating as you realise you can actually access a text in Swedish. I used this alongside duo lingo and they complimented each other highly recommended. Would be good

  This is a great material for anyone learning Swedish, and such a fun way to learn a language! I was so thrilled the first time I realised that I had understood the 'gist' of the story (even if not all of the words), and it inspired me to carry on learning and . Am gradually working my way through the book, in parallel with learning from formal text books, and this is my reward, to be able to understand a 'real' story. Wish the equivalent were available in languages!

  This book has really helped with my Swedish knowledge by exposing me to words and phrases I would never expect to hear on a day to day basis, especially in the context of some fantasy and sci fi stories. It’s great because it doesn’t hold your hand either, and you can read the book as you would read any collection of short stories and pause to look up words if needed at your own pace. A great book for upper beginners/lower intermediate, would definitely recommend.

  I have only very basic Swedish so this book is very suitable for me. Nice (very) short stories. Learning new words. and grammar. Dictionary very limited so I need a dictionary too. Haven't found a decent one on . Sent one back as it translated the word but didn't show the gender. Am using the dictionary on Duolingo. Great app if you haven't come across it. Download on my phone, then managed to get it on my laptop when they emailed me a weekly feedback with a link, and that is brilliant

  At 75 years of age I have enjoyed learning several languages to acceptable standards in school, by tape / DVD and just books but of all the methods I really enjoy is this one. You are learning vocabulary in up to date situations and the main thing is YOU ENJOY IT !They should have had these books 65 years ago when I was learning Latin, French , German and Russian.Excellent !!!!

  This is a vreat submersion into the language and it is very rewarsing when you start to understand the storylines. However, as a beginner, it can be a little frustrating trying to make sense of words you don't recognise whilst making correct pronunciations. Overall, a great purchase but takes time to show it's value via your dedication and effort.
