Working Hard, Hardly Working: How to achieve more, stress less and feel fulfilled: THE #1 SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER Reviews

This book is filled with run on sentences. It’s very tedious to read as it feels like a pretentious teenage rant. I expected a lot from an Oxford graduate. It’s not relatable either and it is quite cringe to read advice from someone who has multimillionaire parents and went to a private school that costs £9000 per term

I loved this book, it couldn't have come at a better time for me being so stressed with university exams and trying to juggle a million things. A truly important read especially in the current climate, prompting self reflection on own attitudes towards work and the pressures of achieving perfect productivity in a world where comparison (the thief of joy) has never been so easy! Grace is a woman of the people, truly inspiring and intelligent. Girl boss guru

I was so excited to get this book and it definitely lived up to expectation! Not only is the cover beautiful (the kind of book you always want on show) but when reading the book you feel like you're having a conversation with Grace herself and there are lots of useful bits of advice throughout the book that I think business owners especially will benefit from.Common sense is not always common action and so while some of the ideas in the book might seem 'obvious', if you're not already doing it, then you likely needed to hear it again.I think some of the reviews on here are incredibly harsh. Grace acknowledges her privilege regularly throughout the book and anyone who has followed her journey will know that she works her ass off.I read many business books and I thought this one had a refreshing and honest perspective that I could really relate to. I felt that a lot of the thoughts and beliefs I hadn't been able to articulate were finally put into words which felt like such a relief.

Regardless of your age you should read this book, it's a helpful way to figure out the balance of productivity and self care.

So well informed, funny & REAL. Finished in an afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommend for procrastination prone students that can also put too much pressure on them selves. Provides insight into how to achieve the perfect balance between productive work and knowing your limits.
