This book covers about all aspects of woodworking! Very well written, too! I think it is geared towards beginners and intermediate woodworkers, with a list of the most used woods, with characteristics, and cautions for each different species. It also gives a basic understanding of each tool type, as well as their use and maintenence. I am fairly new to woodworking and this ahs been a great read for me! I highly reccomend it!

This is the most complete woodworking book I've seen to date. It covers a lot of topics and is quite thorough. If there is a better broad ranging book out there, I would certainly like to know about it, as it's great to be able to see a lot of info. in one location! This is very definitely the book to buy if you're just getting a start in woodworking, and even if you've been at it for awhile!

The book has many details about tools that I found very helpful. It clarified some of the different kinds of drill bits, and gave me info on getting the right bit for the right job. I'd recommend it.

As someone who comes back to woodworking and hasnt picked up a tool since leaving school (59 years ago). I found it an interesting read. Its packed full of information. all of which was no help at all.
an apprentice cabinet maker or someone similar would be grateful for this book, but for someone like me, its a waste of money.
