This is not literary, there are no deep concepts happening. That being said, I read it in less than a day, ignoring all work to be done. Super fast paced, lots of action, but still respects the reader's intelligence. Escapist yet worthwhile.

I've read all of his books, most of the Prey and all of the Virgils at least twice. They are like old friends. Thank you, Mr. Sanford, for the many hours of entertainment.

Mr. Sandford does it again. I'm really liking these Letty stories. Not quite as much as I like the Virgil and Lucas stories but pretty dang close.

Just in case you should pick this up without reading earlier works: be advised this book is very violent. It is also excellent with that caveat.

Another banger from John Sanford! I really like the Letty series lots of action, never dumbed down for the reader.

I've read almost everything by John Sandford multiple times. Love all of them. "Dark Angel" is just about his best. I just wish he would write about three books a month.
