Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia.
Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came all according to his plan.
A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited.
Resting in this coffin is a premium edition of the award winning Dungeons Dragons adventure book Curse of Strahd, one of the most beloved DD adventures of all time.
Curse of Strahd: Revamped splits the adventure into three parts a softcover DD adventure book with updated content, a Creatures of Horror booklet detailing monsters and NPCs appearing in the adventure, and a Tarokka Deck booklet

First thing I'll say, I absolutely LOVE this set. CoS has always been one of my favorite DnD modules and this set has just furthered that adorement. Pros: • DM screen is FANTASTIC. The art is great, provides ACTUALLY useful stats, and is definitely one of

I'll start off with the bad. When I received my copy in the coffin shaped box, I noticed that a single corner of the box was torn. I believe that this tear wasn't from poor quality but rather from weight shifting during transit and putting pressure on a weak point of the

I would like to preface this review with saying to not take the user “Red Jaq”’s review with much regard; his perspective and review on the campaign is skewed and has much to do with the edition of DnD this campaign is made for rather than the module itself. The

Me eh dado a la tarea de traducirlo completo, esto con el fin de poder jugarlo en escuelas y colegios de mi país, espero que les guste a mis estudiantes

Me likey: + Introduces a classic campaign setting by TSR + Retelling of an iconic adventure for a new generation + Boxed sets should’ve returned a long time ago + The DM screen is cool + Tarokka deck is a decent size, though not tarot style +

This is an amazing box set for curse of strahd, some people complain about the book itself being paperback but honestly it’s a very solid book and I don’t mind it being paperback because it still has that nice quality made feel to it. This set has blown me away by how great

Phenomenal set. Packaged and presented phenomenally. I really appreciate having the adventure book and monster apendix as sepearte pieces. The most important thing here is if you don't already own the adventure then you should purchase this set without a doubt. Or if you really just want a couple of additional pieces to go with your original. I'd probably still buy it if I had the original. If only for the map of castle ravenloft. The taroka deck is to die for, it's so gorgeous. The books are soft covers. The DM screen has a mix of regular details from the standard DM screen a long with a handful of Barovia specific tables. But the artwork on it is truly amazing.Having the castle ravenloft on a large poster page makes navigation so much easier. The handouts are also fun additions that are just as pristine as the rest of the set.

There is some minor damage to the left corner of the coffin box, not bad enough for me to bother returning it. This is the reason it doesn't get 5 stars.Contents are great, lore on the Tarokka deck is accurate to real world Tarot lore. The book is soft cover. This doesn't bother me as I knew before buying. I love that they took the monster stat blocks and put them in a seperate book, this allows me to run the adventure and not have to flip back and forth as much.DM screen is minimalistic and I love it.Handouts are silly because they put multiple in one page. Can't hand them out like that, bad choice IMO.Postcards are cute.Map is better than normal map paper, almost a laminated feel. There's also a big coffin shaped picture of Strahd, I like the effect of opening the box to this. It had his stat block on the back but the page is HUGE so not of much use."Revamped" is a stretch. The differences are not calling the Vistani lazy, not having Ezmerelda be ashamed of her prosthetic leg, and some minor errata to explain certain things clearly (like Strahd only being able to meelee attack as his shapeshift wolf form, not bat or mist). While I agree with editing out the stereo types and prefer Ezmerelda be confident it's not what I would call "revamping".Overall I love it. At the time of writing it is on sale and there is a coupon code for books to save an additional ten percent making the price about ninety CAD. The supplemental material will make the game easier to run and atmospheric than just buying the book; I can't think of another module that would benefit from this as much as the venerable Ravenloft (Curse of Strahd).I recommend it, but if you're strapped for cash or can't abide a soft cover you can get by with just the regular book.

The box set and the hand outs that come with it are cool but definitely not worth the extra $$$$. Save yourself some money and just by the campaign book without all the extras
