  I began reading this book for the information, but I couldn't get past the grammar errors. While the information may be correct and useful, I can't take the information seriously when there are grammar errors throughout the book.

  Quite useful to understand the terminology and functionality of the industry, a great reference guide with a lot of detail on the equipment and processes used. Grammar is often poor however, and this book doesn’t view the space from an economic or financial perspective, instead, from an engineering/ process perspective.

  Mr Dalvi clearly knows his stuff and lays it out in a logical and thorough manner. I withdraw two stars because of a lot of awful grammar and inaccurate spelling which spoils the flow of information to some extent. Nevertheless, if you want to learn or consolidate the fundamentals of the oil and gas industry this is a worthwhile read.

  Al leer el libro, dos cosas resultan un poco desconcertantes: los fallos gramaticales (un corrector de errores o una corrección en la editorial los hubieran evitado fácilmente) y el gran número de referencias de la Wikipedia (cuya aportación al contenido del libro es muy relevante, tal vez demasiado). Estos dos puntos hacen pensar en una edición precipitada por un autor que, teniendo experiencia, optó por la Wikipedia como forma de articular sus conocimientos de forma rápida, al encontrarlos ya redactados.Sin embargo, y es por eso que he valorado el libro con 4 estrellas, la obra cumple su función, y la cumple con eficacia. Tras leer el libro, el lector obtiene una comprensión técnica y global de la industria del Oil&Gas en poco tiempo. Se evita así tener que lidiar con libros más complejos y voluminosos y los conceptos clave quedan muy claros. Es por eso que resulta, superado el desconcierto inicial, una buena compra.
